Can Cook was established by Five Children and Families Trust (Five). In 2007 Five decided that as a charity they wanted to develop their and improve their services and to do so set out to create social enterprise – meaning a business that had a social conscience and purpose. That was over three years ago and Five as well as Can Cook has gone from strength to strength. Five employs over 40 staff and provides services to some of the most disadvantaged families in LIverpool. Can Cook operates as that business with a social purpose – at Can Cook everything we do is about providing a professional service for to benefit everyone we work with and provide training for – and here is the twist – all of our profits go to developing and improving our cookery training and also supporting the work of Five. It’s a great relationship.
