Can Cook was set up in 2007 as a food organisation working with people living in South Liverpool who didn’t have basic cookery skills. We have since provided around 13,000 people with cookery training, enabling them to prepare fresh meals.

Following various approaches from care providers in different capacities, we ventured into catering and now provide a fresh food catering service for care and education settings across Merseyside. We specialise in catering for children and older people, and primarily provide services specific to these age groups.

At Can Cook, we believe that everybody should be able to access good fresh food; so we use our operations to tackle food poverty and create employment, donating fresh food to people in food crisis and creating living wage jobs along the way. Read more here..

We are a committed Living Wage employer, meaning that all of our staff are paid a minimum of £8.25 per hour, the rate set by the Living Wage Foundation. This rate is calculated to provide people with a decent living standard. Paying the Living Wage is critical to our business.
