Let’s talk about tasty fresh food in schools.

We’re always finding ways to improve our work.

We have taught over 10,000 children and young people to cook – this has provided us with an incredible insight into what and how they like to eat. In addition, since 2012, we have worked extensively to provide school menus that encourage children and young people to make conscious choices about their food. With us, children and young people are encouraged to try different dishes and explore new tastes and flavours, cultivating an appreciation of a diverse range of foods; vital to their physical development and learning in school.

We also appreciate that children and young people (C/YP) have their favourites foods, so we make sure we also offer meals that children and young people recognise as their favourite meal types. Our commitment is to feed every child and every young person, well!

What do we offer?

We offer a school catering solution that works for any school. In short;

  • We standardise the taste and quality of our meals.
  • We create menus C/YP want to eat.
  • We create meals to help C/YP stay healthy and remain focused.
  • We create meals that parents and teachers would want to eat themselves.
  • We create meal options allowing parents and teachers to eat well at home.
  • We offer cookery training to school kitchen staff and parents and;
  • We commit to stopping the food poverty experienced by C/YP

All of the above is the basis of our ‘Feeding Futures’ school food model.

We’ll produce, package, and deliver your meals

Local procurement… is key to our long-term business model. Where possible, we only use suppliers local to our operation to support local businesses and protect local jobs. This, in turn, is not only beneficial for the local economy but also the environment; by reducing carbon-omissions from limiting the distance goods are transported.

Our meals… are hand prepared in our production kitchen by our skilled chefs, and packed and sealed freshly cooked in recyclable heat-resistant trays without the need for any additives or preservatives. All meals are labelled, with allergen declarations and heating instructions, ready for delivery.

Using our refrigerated vehicles… we regularly deliver meals to avoid the need for large in-school storage. Once delivered, our meals are ready for your staff to take out and simply reheat using the instructions provided.

Let’s talk about ‘Feeding Futures’

To establish a good-food-culture:

  • We only ever offer fresh meals and never processed snacks.
  • We celebrate special event days e.g. World Book Day, Chinese New Year-through the introduction of special meals.
  • We teach children, teachers and parents to cook.
  • We support families who are in food poverty, providing free fresh meals to help them overcome their difficulties and;
  • We will introduce a new packed lunch initiative that can help feed children an improved diet and add additional income into the school.
  • We will work to create a good food culture in every school we work with.

We’ll go the extra step

food allergy
Allergies and Intolerances

Allergen management is an important aspect of our work, and all our staff are trained in allergen management. The meals provided as part of our chilled meal delivery service come labelled with a full list of allergens.

We continually review all our practices for compliance with ‘Natasha’s Law’.

dietary requirements
Dietary Requirements

Like food, we are all unique and the adherence to follow a specific religious or cultural diet is often required. While it may not be possible to accommodate everyone, working with our customers, we will provide guidance on best practice to adapt a dish by leaving out or substituting ingredients.

And we go further…

Beyond the school kitchen we also look to work with the teaching staff, children and young people and parents to create a whole school food culture, and influencing diet and nutrition beyond the school gates and into children’s homes. To do this, we introduce our Feeding Futures Programme’.
